Domaine Serol VdF Rouge 'Melting Potes' 2021

This organic (in conversion to biodynamics) red blend hails from a region called Côte Roannaise, though the wine is crafted as a Vin de France. This spot is part of the Loire Valley, yet some consider it a sort of satellite to Beaujolais — situated as it is, just west of Bojo, and also as because it's a region handy with Gamay production. “Melting Potes” from Domaine Sérol has some of that magic, a blend of Gamay, Syrah, and Grenache. It’s loaded with dark fruit and layers of savory herbal notes. It’s juicy, but not heavy. This light-to-medium-bodied red is superb with a slight chill, or also delicious when served from the cellar. It's a knock out with charcuterie.
