This single-vineyard Brunello is produced at the hands of one of Montalcino’s most progressive and environmentally-friendly producers. ‘Sorgente’ is spicy, dry, and a bit more powerful than ‘Piaggoione.’ Notes of dark fruit, licorice, vanilla, and baking spice dominate this muscular wine. We’d give this guy another 3-5 years to let its tannins mellow out.
