Roterfaden Lemberger Trocken Wurttemberg 2016

Roterfaden was founded a few years ago by Greek/Germany couple Olympia Samara and Hannes Hoffmann. The couple farms their two hectares of vines all biodynamically, most of which grow on steep stone terraces dominated by limestone. This varietal Lemberger (Blaufränkisch) is spontaneously fermented, aged in large oak barrels, and bottled unfined/unfiltered. The wine is silky and perfumed, marked by notes of tart red fruit, fresh herbs, & violets.
