This duo of self-proclaimed ‘Garnachistas’ focuses on single-vineyard Grenache from rugged mountain top vineyards across Sierra de Gredos. Fruit for ‘Rumbo al Norte’ comes from high elevation organic/biodynamic vineyards situated at 1200 meters above sea level. After spontaneous fermentation and a 40-60 day maceration, the wine ages for 12 months in large French oak barrels. This is one of Comando G’s most coveted parcels. Dark fruited and spicy, this wine is the epitome of New Spain. Drink now, enjoy in a few years, do both-- your call.
