Rudi Pichler Gruner Veltliner Federpsiel Wachau 2017

Rudi Pichler’s family has tended vines in the Wachau since 1731, dominated by Gruner Veltliner and Riesling. Rudi took over in 1997, farming the family’s 15 hectares of south-facing terraced vines with a ‘wine caretaker, not winemaker’ philosophy, creating pure, energetic wines. ‘Federspiel’ shows lifted aromatics of citrus, tart apple, and green leaves, pairing perfectly with salads, seafoods, and white meat.
