Founded in 1998 by Matthieu Barret, Domaine du Coulet’s 16 hectares of vines sit on old granite soils in Cornas, farmed all organically. Fermentations are done in tank and aging is done in used 400L barrels, with final wines bottled unfined and unfiltered. ‘Brise Cailloux’ an approachable Cornas, aged 18 months in cement, showing notes of red fruit, black olives, cassis, garrigue, and pepper, lending to a persistent finish. Delicious!
