Founded in 1931 by Franck’s grandfather, the Balthazar family estate began bottling wines under their own name in 1980. Parcels are fermented separately, with stems included, and aging done in demi-muids. ‘Cuvée Casimir’ pays homage to Franck’s grandfather, using 100% whole bunches and native yeasts. Red fruits on the nose give way to to a hearty palate of cherries, red fruits, wet earth, and smoke, lending to a crunchy, mouth filling finish
