Pierre Gonon Ardeche IGP 'Les Iles Feray' 2017

Pierre Gonon is one of the most important producers in all of Saint-Joseph, as his strong advocacy for non-interventionist farming has made waves across the appellation. He ferments all of his juice in open oak vats and punchdowns are done by foot. ‘Les Iles Feray’ is partially destemmed, fermented with native yeasts, and aged for 10 months in old demi-muids, creating a juicy and easy-drinking Syrah that’s approachable in its youth.
