Jean-Louis Dutraive joined his father at the family estate in 1977 and now represents the fifth generation of Domaine de la Grand’Cour. The family owns 10.6 hectares of vines, all of which are farmed organically. Fruit for ‘Brouilly’ VV grows in clay-limestone soils, leading to an earthy, terroir-driven final wine full of red fruit, violet, and smoked meat flavors. Smooth, savory, and rather full-bodied for Beaujolais. Delicious!
