Founded by famed ‘mustachioed character’ Bernard Diochon, this namesake winery has been making strides in Moulin-a-Vent since 1935, producing wines via whole cluster fermentation and aging in large oak foudre from the appellation’s ‘crumbly granite’ soils. The 2013 Moulin-a-Vent is floral and fruit-forward, with notes of dark berries, chewy tannins, and a lingering finish. A delicious, food-friendly cru Beaujolais!
