Sylvain Pataille is not only a winemaker, but a consulting oenologist for many of Burgundy’s great vineyards, bottling wines under his own label since 2001. Fruit for his Bourgogne Rouge comes from Chenôve, just north of Marsannay. The 2015 bottling is bright and structured, with notes of ripe cherry, tart raspberry, and soil-driven undertones.
