Charles Ballot took over this family estate in 2001 and now cultivates vines across 5 Premier Cru sites in Meursault. Under Charles’ reign, yields were lowered and chemicals were eliminated. Wines are native-yeast fermented and aging is done in wood. Fruit for ‘Genevrieres’ comes from a single-vineyard 1er cru growing site in Meursault. The final wine shows notes of tangy citrus fruit, white flowers, and baking spice, which lead to a long, saline-driven finish.
