Francois Carillon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Folatieres' 2016

Francois Carillon recently took over his father’s five hectares of Puligny-based vines, as well as 1.5 hectares from a neighbor, bringing purity and elegance to his array of (mainly) Premier Cru wines. Wines show a distinct sense of place and a strong mineral character; the 2016 ‘Folatieres’ is creamy yet balanced, showing notes of lemon, crisp apple, and nutty, sweet spice. Warming and satisfying!
