We’re big fans of this two-person operation based in Sebastopol. Jolie-Laide is Jenny Schultz and partner Scott Schultz. They call themselves a " tiny, hands-on (and feet) operation making distinct and fascinating wines." This is down to their methods: grapes are left whole cluster, foot crushed, and aged in neutral oak with a focus on French varieties. "The approach is a natural one, a less is more ethos," according to the duo. This partially carbonic blend of Trousseau Noir, Cabernet Pfeffer, and Gamay is bright and complex.
