The Monteraponi estate is located in the village of Radda, situated in the heart of Chianti. Fruit comes from vineyards planted at 400-500 meters above sea level and is vinified as naturally as possible. ‘Baron Ugo’ comes from 40-year-old vines and is macerated for 45 days, followed by 36 months of aging in 3,000 liter oak barrels. The final wine is aromatic, spicy, and bright, noted with flavors of cherry, sandalwood, and tobacco leaf.
