Regarded as Piedmont’s greatest producer of Barolo, Giacomo Conterno founded the estate in the early 20th century, producing world class Nebbiolo from 16 hectares in Serralunga d’Alba. The 2016 ‘Francia’ Barbera is red fruited and earthy, with notes of spice, red flowers, and stones. Barbera is seen as Piedmont’s ‘everyday’ wine, and this expression is too solid to be missed!
