Domaine Chevillon Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru 'Vaucrains' 2015

Located in the heart of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Chevillon’s roots date back to the 1800s, when Symphorien Chevillon took to working the vine and selling off fruit. Now headed by brothers Denis and Bertrand, Domaine Chevillon estate bottles all of their wines, which ooze with elegance and grace; low-yielding vines undergo long fermentations, followed by 16-20 months of elevage in barrel. The 2015 ‘Vaucrains’ is earthy and aromatic, with notes of red currant and supple black fruit. Sophisticated and firm, though waiting is a must. Lay down for 5+ years.
