San Guido Bolgheri 'Sassicaia' 2011

Now with almost ten years of age on it, this iconic bottling from Tenuta San Guido is drinking beautifully, though the wine will certainly continue to hold up in the cellar. Notes of spicy red fruit, crushed rocks, cedar, and rosemary dominate the wine’s generous and balanced palate. This wine comes from a rather hot year in Tuscany, which led to succulent and fruit-driven juice.
