The Douro Valley has wind in its winemaking sails these days. Everywhere we look there’s some exciting new marker of quality and taste coming out of Portugal. Friends are bringing these wines to parties, and restaurants and making space on their list for more bottles. We’ve long been fans of Portuguese wines, so we’re super excited that more of this wine is available stateside and that we can share some of our favorites with you. One last note: these wines are typically made with native varieties, so take our advice and dig in, even if the grapes aren’t recognizable to you (yet)...this is part of why we’re so crazy for the authenticity of Portugal.
