Roagna Barbaresco 'Paje' 2017


Varietal Nebbiolo from Roagna never disappoints. The estate is one of Piedmont’s top producers and is best-known for their dry, aromatic cuvées produced from long macerations and Slavonian oak aging. Fruit is hand-harvested from 1.83 hectares of organic vines and is fermented for ten days in large wood casks. Fermentations are done with indigenous yeasts, followed by aging in neutral French botti for about five years. On average, less than 825 cases are produced annually.
