Domaine Quenard Savoie Blanc 'Les Abymes' 2021

Check out this 100% Jacquère wine from Savoie, in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. This variety is freshness personified, a reflection of the purity of its Alpine home. We love the zippy acidity on this one, yet there’s also a satisfying orchard-fruit core that adds a bit of texture to a highly mineral-driven sip. Producers André & Michel Quenard (and the next generation, Guillaume) are known for pulling dynamic wines from their complex and demanding terroir. It’s hard to describe how beautiful their village (Chignin) and vineyards are, but if wine has any ability to transport us elsewhere, we’d all do well to have a little more Savoie on the table. If you're serving young cheeses, this will do nicely. We've also got dibs for salad and egg-based dishes.
