Tegernseerhof Gruner Veltliner Smaragd 'Schutt' Wachau 2016

Martin Mittelbach is the fifth-generation of his family to run the Tegernseerhof estate, which dates back over 1,000 years. Progressive winemaking meets antiquity at this Wachau based winery, with dry, steel-aged bottles dominating production. Fruit for ‘Schutt’ comes alluvial soils in the western Wachau, influenced by cool winds from the Mental Gorge. Mineral-driven and bright, the wine shows zesty flavors of lime, green apple, and wet rocks.
