After many years of selling grapes to fellow natural winemakers, Dario Serrentino began vinifying his own wines in 2014, working 15 hectares of vines in southeast Sicily. White limestone soils and abundant sunshine give way to healthy, concentrated fruit. The 2017 ‘Calaniuru’ Rosso is a juicy Frappato dominant blend, showing a serious sense of place. Perfect with margherita pizza, fresh antipasti, or pesto rosso.
