The Famille Dutraive négociant business was created by Jean-Louis, after 90% of his 2016 crop was lost to frost. The family sources organically farmed fruit from local growers and uses carbonic maceration/native yeasts to create fruit-forward, terroir-driven wines. Fruit for ‘Clos du Chapitre’ comes from a single parcel of vines and is vinified in concrete, followed by aging in steel/neutral oak for six months.
