Robin Pollard was formerly the executive director of the Washington State Wine Commission, as well as a local coffee roaster, before turning to the vine. Her and her partner Chris Camarda farm four hectares in the Upper Yakima Valley, all of which are located at high altitudes. The 2017 Merlot is dark-hued and medium-bodied, showing flavors of black currants, cherries, fresh herbs, and wet forest floor.
