Francois Carillon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Les Perrieres' 2016

Francois Carillon recently took over his father’s five hectares of Puligny-based vines, as well as 1.5 hectares from a neighbor, bringing purity and elegance to his array of (mainly) Premier Cru wines. Wines show a distinct sense of place and a strong mineral character; the 2016 ‘Les Perrieres’ shows classic flavors of stone fruit and chalky, showing zesty acidity and green apple notes.
