Bartolo Mascarello was not only one of the most legendary winemakers of Barolo in Piemonte he was also an amazingly gifted artist. After his passing in 2005, his daughter Maria Theresa found dozens of sketches of her father’s and presciently decided to use them for labels for future releases. These “Artist Label” editions are super special and incredibly rare — we just happen to have a few, you know, hanging around. The intersection of art and wine is always an idea we can get behind.
