Chateau Yvonne was founded by monks in the 1500s, resuscitated to life by Jean-Francois and Yvonne Lamunière 500 years later. Today, Matthieu Vallée farms the estate’s 11 hectares organically and biodynamically, with a hands off-mentality implemented in the cellar. The 2015 ‘Le Gory’ comes from a special lieu-dit, just 200 meters from the Loire River. Hand-harvested and aged 12 months in oak/3 months in steel; rich, balanced, and mineral-driven.
