Fifth-generation Bernard Faurie manages three parcels spread across Hermitage, crafting some of the region’s most prolific and age-worthy wines. Believing that Hermitage is not really such without fruit from Bessards, his wines are expressive and deep. The 2014 ‘Cream Cap’ is savory and spicy. Fruit from 100 year old vines is hand-harvested and naturally fermented, followed by aging for 1.5-3 years. Perfect with game, red meat, and savory meat sauces.
