Domaine Chave Hermitage 2008

In the world of Northern Rhone greatness, Chave is undoubtedly the authority. His Hermitage Rouge is vinified in both stainless steel and open topped casks, undergoing multiple daily punch downs. After one year and a half years, parcels are blended to create the final cuvée combining seven unique terroirs. The 2008 vintage is extremely fresh, lighter than the 2009 vintage. Notes of black cherry and spice dominate, with well-integrated tannins. We recommend drinking over the next five years.
