Founded in 1924 by Georges Roumier, Domaine G. Roumier holds the standard for sensational Burgundy produced across various appellations, many of which are Premier and Grand Crus. Georges’ grandson, Christophe, took over the winery in 1992, using mostly destemmed fruit, fermented and aged in oak. The 2013 ‘Les Cras’ is restrained on the nose yet vibrant on the palate, full of chalky minerality and zesty acidity; we’d visit in ten years.
