This juicy and dark-fruited Syrah from Saint-Jo is smooth, supple, and seriously delicious. Notes of blackberries, raspberries, underbrush, smoked meats, and black olives dominate the wine’s spicy and concentrated palate. Fruit for this wine is entirely destemmed and is aged in oak (30% new) for 12 months. We’d give this bottle another five years or so.
