Domaine Santa Duc Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Les Saintes Vierges' 2017

Fruit for this silky Châteauneuf-du-Pape comes from one of the first single-vineyard sites that Domaine Santa Duc settled on in the appellation. Here, sandy soils create a finessed and personality-driven expression of Grenache, which dominates this particular cuvée (90%). Notes of red fruits, garrigue, and wood lead to an acid-driven finish. We’d let this one integrate for a few years before opening.
