G. Mascarello Barbera 'Scudetto' 2015

Mauro Mascarello, the grandson of the legendary Giuseppe Mascarello, is one of the last remaining winemakers from Barolo’s benchmark period, taking over his grandfather’s estate in the 1960s. ‘Scudetto’ is a varietal Barbera, aged 14 months in oak. The wine shows classic Barbera fruit-forwardness, with flavors of wild berries, spicy earth, and cedar undertones. Fresh, expressive, and balanced-- great with pizza!
