Known for producing some of Piedmont’s greatest Nebbiolo and Barbera, Giacomo Conterno has become regarded as regional winemaking royalty, crafting world-famous cuvées for the last 100 years. ‘Francia’ is a classic Barolo, showing powerful body, alcohol, and present tannins, as well as incredible aging potential. The 2006 vintage is rich and structured, with powerful aromas of red flowers, tar, and earthy undertones. The palate oozes with bright red fruit, coupled with gritty, integrated tannins.
