Jose Antonio Garcia was born in Barcelona and spent many years working in the city’s restaurant scene. Several years ago, Jose decided to recuperate his parents’ vineyards in Bierzo and now works 22 hectares of vines. ‘Unculin’ is an organic Dona Blanca and Godello blend, coming from 60 to 100-year-old bush vines. Fruit ferments spontaneously in steel and ages eight months on the lees, leading to a fruit-forward and mineral-driven wine.
