Founded in 1895, Larkmead is one of the longstanding, family-owned estates in Napa. The estate’s 45 hectares sit on a combination of gravel, clay, and loam soils, with winemaker Dan Petroski seeking to bring out the complexity and diversity of each specific site. ‘Solari’ 2015 has been deemed ‘borderline perfection,’ showing notes of black currant, pencil shaving, and ripe dark fruit, and black tea; full-bodied, muscular, and insanely layered!
