Founded by Joel Burt and Eric Wareheim, Las Jaras seeks to create balanced, low-alcohol wines full of juicy food-friendliness and supple character. Sweet Berry Wine is Carignan and Zinfandel dominant blend rounded out with Charbono, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Old Vine Valdiguie. Fruit is hand-harvested and vinified separately, with ample amounts of whole clusters used. Post stainless steel fermentation, the wine ages in oak and is blended before bottling. The wine is insanely juicy and fruit-forward, marked by notes of tart cranberry, white pepper, flower petals, and blood orange. A true Porch Pounder!
