Lioco Carignan 'Sativa' Mendocino County 2015

Farmed by Jim McCutchen, fruit for ‘Sativa’ comes from unirrigated 70 year old vines, seated at high elevations of 2,000 feet above sea level. Grapes are whole bunch fermented, followed by aging in neutral oak. Floral aromas of dusty red fruit dominate the nose, giving way to a vibrant, dark berry and herbal palate; perfect for lovers of low-tannin, crushable reds.
