Now with 12 years of age on it, this iconic Italian cuvée is finally coming into itself. Notes of stewed red and dark fruits, balsamic, sage, thyme, and sweet spice dominate the wine’s rich and vibrant palate. ‘Solaia’ is only produced in exceptional years. Fruit comes from a 20-hectare parcel rooted in rocky limestone soils and is aged in new French oak for 18 months.. The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (80%) and rounded out with equal parts Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese.
