Sardinia-based Giovanni Montisci produces extremely small quantities of high-quality Grenache (Cannonau) from his family’s 2.5 hectare plot of vines, which is entirely unirrigated. Vines are deeply rooted into red clay and granitic soils, creating highly aromatic, complex wines. ‘Barrosu’ comes from 60-year old organic vines, giving way to a deep, complex wine, full of dark berry, herbs, and soil notes. Delicious with hearty food!
