Pax Syrah 'Griffin's Lair' Sonoma Coast 2014

Launched in 2000, Pax and Pam Mahle created their namesake winery with the goal of highlighting the ‘untapped potential’ of Syrah in California. Soil, optimal location, and sustainability are all prime factors when seeking out fruit; ‘Griffin’s Lair’ is the darkest and densest Syrah in their lineup, showing flavors of black fruit, pepper, and smoke. Powerful yet bright; one of the best examples of Syrah in all of California.
