Launched in 2000, Pax and Pam Mahle created their namesake winery with the goal of highlighting the ‘untapped potential’ of Syrah in California. This varietal Valdiguié is carbonically macerated in steel and aged four months in concrete, with zero sulfur added during the entire vinification process. The final wine is zesty and bright, with notes of strawberry, tart raspberry, and black pepper. Serve slightly chilled and chug outdoors!
