Situated in the heart of western Sonoma, Peay Vineyards comprises 20 hectares of Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Chardonnay with a handful of Rhone white varieties smattered in. The winery was founded in 1996 by Nick Peay and Vanessa Wong, who farm all vineyards organically and operate the winery via solar power.
Aromatics of cherry and a hint of smokiness lead into rich cherry and spice flavors on the palate. We love the long finish on this one and would pair it with bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin with a side of roasted veggies.
