Situated in the heart of western Sonoma, Peay Vineyards comprises 20 hectares of Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Chardonnay with a handful of Rhone white varieties smattered in. The winery was founded in 1996 by Nick Peay and Vanessa Wong, who farm all vineyards organically and operate the winery via solar power. This juicy and energetic varietal Pinot Noir shows flavors of ripe cherries, potting soil, and baking spice, with heaps of acidity leading to a balanced and refreshing finish.
