2016 marks the fourth vintage produced by Raen, located in the heart of Sonoma Coast. Winemakers Carlo and Dante consider themselves equal parts farmer/wineamker, influenced by their grandfather, Robert Mondavi’s, winemaking past. The 2016 ‘Home Field’ Pinot comes from vines planted on hillsides just two miles from the Pacific Ocean. Notes of raspberry, roses, and wet rock dominate, with a dried herb-tinged, lingering finish. Pure elegance.
