This seriously delicious vintage bottling from Robert Moncuit comes from the domaine’s 1.5 hectare parcel in Oger (Mesnil’s northerly neighbor). Pierre ultimately decided to vinify this plot separately, as he was curious to see what the difference between this wine and his ‘Chetillons’ cuvée would be. (2010 was the first vintage of ‘Les Vozemieux.’) This barrel-fermented Blanc de Blancs is loaded with flavors of yellow plums, apricots, candied ginger, citrus rind, and brioche, and is bottled Extra Brut, though essentially as close to zero dosage as can be. According to Pierre, Vozemieux is rounder and more open. We mean it when we say that this bottle is a real treat.
