Suriol’s viticultural roots in Penedes date back to the 1400s. The estate is known for their pioneering of organic farming and minimal intervention in the cellar. The 2013 ‘Reserva’ is a blend of Mataro (Monastrell) and Grenache, fermented with native yeasts and aged four months in concrete, followed by 24 months on the lees in bottle, before disgorgement. Notes of strawberry, brioche, and chalky earth lead to a zesty, satisfying finish.
