Georges Delille, a former Paris based sommelier, acquired his Bandol vineyards in 1963, terracing hillsides and seeking to revive Mourvedre. The 2017 rosé is Mourvedre dominant, rounded out with equal parts Cinsault and Grenache, creating a powerful, age-worthy wine full of complex aromas and fresh minerality. Floral and citrus-noted, with flavors of savory red strawberries. Pair with shellfish, olive tapenade, or an array of cold appetizers.
