Tyrrell's Hunter Semillon 'Vat 1' 2005

Founded in 1858 by Edward Tyrrell, an English immigrant to Australia, Tyrrell’s family-owned vineyards span from the Hunter Valley to Victoria, producing a vast range of varietal and blended bottles. ‘Vat 1’ Sémillon’ is steel fermented, with no oak used in the process. The 2005, now with 13 years of age on it, remains bright and toasty, with tertiary notes creeping across the palate; chalk, citrus, earth, & tangy acid give way to a long finish.
